Time and again, a lot of us come across this situation.."What is your goal?" Things get more technical at times with the question broken down into "What is short term goal and What is your long term goal?" Bullshit..I just cant fathom how do we keep fooling ourselves in the name of Goals. I meet a guy who has a goal to be a doctor..after 5 years he has a goal to become IAS..after 5 years he now wants to be MBA..forget this..a easier situation is when at night you have the goal to wake up early morning and in the morning you are snoozing alarms.
An amazing quote from Bhagvada Gita which looks like an alternative to this Goal fad..(but then as I feel - no wisdom that comes from outside is true wisdom)
"Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana"
Ma Karman Phala Hetur Bhurmatey Sangostava Akarman"
"You have a right to perform your prescribed action, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be associated to not doing your duty."
